Welcome to Luz Villegas Coaching at Highland Stable!

With more than 15 years of teaching experience and a Pony Club background, I have developed a program that emphasizes essential safety skills, horsemanship, and a solid basic English riding position. Whether you ride for pleasure or aspire to compete or own your own horse, each rider receives personalized support to achieve their goals at their own learning pace. I look forward to meeting you and your rider!

Rider Progress

Lesson progressions are customized to address the specific needs and aspirations of each rider. I offer personalized support to my students, recognizing that everyone learns and advances at their own pace. My goal is to cultivate confidence, skills, and knowledge for all my students, both on the horse and beyond. Having grown up in Pony Club, I have come to appreciate the immense importance of responsible horse care and attention to detail. I aim to instill these values as the foundation of my students' training.

Lesson Logistics

How are lessons run?

Most students start with 30min weekly riding lessons with a 90min requirement. Students arrive 30mins prior to ride time for tack their horse, ride for 30 mins and then spend 30 mins take care of their horse after the lesson. Students are all required to learn to tack as well as basic horsemanship and safety skills for full rounded learning.

For students who are new to horses and riding I strongly encourage scheduling a 60min private lesson. 60 min private lessons include horsemanship basics.

For students who can groom/tack with out assistance and can ride at the walk, trot and canter can inquire about 60 min group lessons. Students arrive 30 mins early, ride for 60mins and spend 30mins taking care of their horse after the lesson.

Yes, riders can ride multiple times a week!
